Improved densitometry/characterisation of X-ray emulsions



A table showing experimental values for parameters in an X-ray emulsion, compared to fitted values from some semi-empirical models and some better theory.

A problem with the general use of X-ray emulsions as detectors in precision experiments is due to limitations of commercial densitometers. However, improved densitometry can not just increase the sensitivy, dynamic range and utility of film. It can also test current models and theory of the film itself.
