Laser Interface Board

The laser interface board drives the protection board on the laser head. This board is designed to be used inside a Caesar box OR a Newport Laser Driver. To do this there are separate connections on the PCB. The resistors required in the photodiode gain section of the board depend on the type of diode being used i.e. common-cathode or common-anode diodes.

We are now using high-power Sharp diodes which do not have an integrated photodiode and hence much of this driver is no longer required.
